Econ Club hears about arts' influence on city

A story about the economic impact of the arts in Grand Rapids cites a study by the Center for Arts and Public Policy at Wayne State University that found that the arts represent 6.5 percent of Michigan 's economy, generating $46 billion in gross revenue. "A healthy arts community is vital to attracting and retaining a highly skilled, better trained, better educated work force," the newspaper article asserts.
